Ellis Signs was founded by Bernard Ellis in Gateshead in 1983, initially producing and installing property signage for estate agents.
The business expanded into commercial and retail signage, and in 2005 Craig Robinson acquired the company. Alex Robinson later joined as a director.
Operations subsequently moved into a purpose-built facility of approximately 9,000 sq ft in Blaydon-on-Tyne, where design, manufacturing and finishing all happen today.
The work has changed enormously. The principle has not: make it properly, fit it properly, and stand behind it.
